SKD Chapter Awards Guidelines
*Deadline for Chapter Award Entries – postmarked or submitted electronically by November 15, 2023*Chapter Activity Award
Sigma Kappa Delta awards $200 to the chapter whose chapter activity best promotes the aims of the society locally or nationally.
To apply for the chapter activity award, the chapter advisor must:
- Fill out the Chapter Activity Word document (download it here);
- Email the document to sheila.byrd@calhoun.edu along with any copies of pictures, programs, and any visual aids that illustrate this activity; OR
- Mail the document SKD National Executive Director along with any along with any copies of pictures, programs, and any visual aids that illustrate this activity
- Mail: SKD National Office, Attn: National Executive Director, Calhoun Community College, POB 2216, Decatur, AL 35609
Chapter Literary Magazine/Journal Award
Sigma Kappa Delta awards $200 to the chapter which submits the best Literary Magazine or Journal from its college. Entries in the journal are not limited to SKD members; however, the SKD chapter must have actively participated in creating and publishing the journal.
To qualify for this award, sponsors must submit the completed form and three (3) hard copies of the college magazine or journal.
To apply for the chapter Literary Magazine/Journal award, the chapter advisor must:
- Fill out the Chapter Activity Word document (download it here);
- Mail the document to the SKD National Executive Director along with any along with three hard copies of the magazine/journal.
